Send a voice message

Press the microphone next to the message box and speak. Your words are sent as text, and the reply is read aloud.

The message box with the microphone button and the send button.
  1. Press the microphone next to the message box. The first time, allow access to the microphone.
  2. Speak. Recording stops by itself about a second after you stop talking — or press the button again.
  3. What you said is turned into text and sent.
  4. The reply arrives as text and is read aloud. Replies to voice messages are kept short, as if spoken.
  • Speak English or Russian. Kazakh speech isn't recognised yet: it turns into garbled text, which is sent as it is — so type in Kazakh.
  • Voice messages don't use your plan's voice minutes — those are for calls.
  • To stop the reading, press the button again — while a reply is read it shows a speaker — or switch to another employee.
  • The voice that reads replies in chat is not the voice the employee has on calls.
  • No microphone button? This browser can't record sound; try another one.
  • If the microphone can't be used — the browser blocks it, there is none, or another app holds it — the line under the message box says so. Blocked: allow the microphone for vott.work (the icon left of the address) and press the microphone again; if it still won't record, reload the page.
