Terms of service

Effective date: 21 October 2026. Paid plans are not on sale yet. Questions: legal@vott.work.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Novon Tech LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan under business identification number 260840013395, with its registered office at 208/5 Navoi Street, office 6, Almaty 050043, Kazakhstan ("Novon Tech", "we", "us", "our").

They govern your use of Vott: the website at vott.work, the web application, and the AI employees, chats, calls and related services we provide there (together, the "Service").

By creating an account, starting a free plan, buying a subscription or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms and our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use Vott

1.1 Age. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

1.2 A tool for work. Vott is designed and offered for professional use: by businesses and other organisations, and by individuals acting for the purposes of their trade, business, craft or profession. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, "you" means that organisation, and you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

1.3 Consumers. If you nevertheless use the Service as a consumer, you keep every right that the law of the country where you live gives you and that cannot be excluded or limited by contract. Where a clause below applies differently to consumers, it says so.

1.4 Sanctions and export controls. You may not use the Service if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, or organised under the laws of a country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions, or if you are named on, or owned or controlled by anyone named on, a sanctions list maintained by the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States or the Republic of Kazakhstan. You must not use the Service in breach of any export control law that applies to you.

2. What Vott is, and what it is not

2.1 AI employees are AI. Vott gives you access to "AI employees": fictional characters with names, personalities, faces, voices and memory, run by artificial intelligence. No human being is on the other end of a chat or a call with an AI employee. Their faces, voices and video are generated by AI and do not depict real people; any resemblance to a real person is coincidental. An AI employee will not deny being an AI when you sincerely ask. Our AI disclosure describes this in more detail.

2.2 What an AI employee does. You can chat with an AI employee, talk to it in voice and video calls, and give it work. It produces text, plans, drafts, code and other material in response ("Output").

2.3 What an AI employee is not. An AI employee is not a person, and not an employee, contractor or agent of yours or of ours. It is not a lawyer, doctor, accountant, financial adviser or any other professional, and nothing it says is professional advice.

2.4 AI employees cannot make promises on our behalf. AI employees speak in character and can be wrong. Nothing an AI employee says — about prices, refunds, deadlines, features, discounts, results or anything else — creates an obligation for us, changes these Terms, or gives you any right. We are bound only by these Terms, our published policies, and the prices and terms shown to you at checkout.

2.5 We promise work, not outcomes. We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise that Output will achieve any business result — that a page will convert, that copy will rank, that code will perform under conditions you have not described, or that anything made with the Service will make you money.

2.6 A young service. Vott is new. We may add, change or withdraw features, and we may label parts of the Service as beta, preview or experimental. Where the product tells you that a feature is not available yet, it is not available, whatever an AI employee says.

3. Your account

3.1 You need an account for most of the Service. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.

3.2 Keep your sign-in details confidential. You are responsible for what happens under your account, except where it results from our breach of these Terms. Tell us promptly at support@vott.work if you think someone else has accessed it.

3.3 An account belongs to one person or one organisation. Do not create accounts to get around allowances, limits or a suspension.

3.4 We may provide shared evaluation accounts, for example to reviewers. They are for evaluation only, may be reset at any time, and must not be used for real work or confidential information.

4. Plans, allowances and payment

4.1 Plans. The Service is offered on a free plan and on paid subscription plans. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of tasks, voice minutes and video minutes, as shown on our pricing page and in your account when you subscribe. A task is one brief you give an AI employee and the reviewable result it hands back; further attempts at the same brief do not count as new tasks. Voice and video minutes are measured by the duration of your calls.

4.2 Allowances renew every cycle and do not roll over. Your allowances renew at the start of each billing cycle. Anything unused at the end of a cycle expires; it does not carry over and has no cash value.

4.3 When an allowance runs out. When you reach an allowance, the related feature stops until your next cycle, unless you upgrade or buy additional units where we offer them. We never charge for usage beyond your allowance unless you have agreed to that purchase at checkout.

4.4 Add-ons. If we offer additional tasks or minutes as a one-off purchase, they last until the end of the billing cycle in which you buy them, and then expire like your allowances. The checkout page says so before you pay.

4.5 The free plan. The free plan costs nothing and never turns into a paid plan unless you choose a paid plan and pay for it. We may change the free plan's allowances, or withdraw the free plan, at any time.

4.6 Payments. Paid plans are not on sale yet. Before they open, we will update these Terms to say who sells them and who processes the payment, and tell you before you pay.

4.7 Subscriptions renew automatically. A paid subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and you are charged the price of your plan for the next period, until you cancel. The price, the billing period, and the fact that the subscription renews are shown to you at checkout before you pay. Prices on our site are in US dollars; checkout shows any tax that applies and the total before you pay.

4.8 Cancelling. You can cancel a paid subscription at any time, online and without contacting us: use "Cancel plan" in Settings, under Billing. Cancelling stops future renewals. Your plan stays active, with its allowances, until the end of the period you have paid for, and you will not be charged again.

4.9 Refunds. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits a refund or withdrawal right that the law gives you.

4.10 Price changes. We may change our prices or plan allowances. We will tell you at least 30 days before a change takes effect for your subscription, and you may cancel before it does. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.

4.11 Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may try again. If it keeps failing, we may move your account to the free plan or pause paid features until the payment succeeds.

5. Your content and Output

5.1 Definitions. "Input" is everything you or your users put into the Service: briefs, messages, voice, files, instructions and feedback. "Your Content" is your Input together with the Output generated for you.

5.2 You own it. As between you and us, you keep all rights in your Input. To the extent the law recognises rights in Output, you own the Output generated for you, and we assign to you any right, title and interest we have in it. This does not give you rights in Vott Materials (section 6), even where Output contains or depicts them.

5.3 The licence you give us. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, transmit and display Your Content only as needed to provide, maintain, secure and support the Service for you, to comply with the law, and to enforce these Terms. This includes sending it to the providers that run parts of the Service for us, listed on our Subprocessors page. The licence ends when Your Content is deleted from our systems, apart from copies we must keep by law and copies in backups, which are deleted when those backups expire.

5.4 No training on your content. We do not use Your Content to train or fine-tune AI models, and we choose provider settings that stop our providers from doing so wherever their terms let us.

5.5 Your responsibilities for Input. You are responsible for your Input. You confirm that you have every right and permission needed to give it to us — including, where it contains personal data about other people, a lawful basis for sharing that data with us and for its processing as our Privacy Policy describes. If you are a business and your Input includes personal data for which you are the controller, our Data Processing Addendum applies and forms part of these Terms; ask for it at legal@vott.work.

5.6 Output needs your review. Output is generated by AI. It can be wrong, incomplete, out of date, insecure or offensive, and it can resemble material that other people receive or already own. Output is not unique: similar Output may be generated for others. You must review Output before you rely on it, publish it or put it into use, and you are responsible for doing so — including checking that your use does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law.

5.7 Labelling AI content you share. If you publish or share Output that people could mistake for human-made or authentic content — and in particular any image, audio or video that shows or sounds like an AI employee — you are responsible for any disclosure the law requires, and you must never present an AI employee as a real person. You must not remove or alter any label, watermark or provenance information that marks Output as AI-generated.

6. Vott's materials

6.1 The Service and everything in it other than Your Content — our software and website; the AI employees' names, characters, personalities, faces, voices, avatars and designs; our instructions and prompts; and the Vott name and logos ("Vott Materials") — belong to us or our licensors.

6.2 We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service and the Vott Materials while your account is in good standing, for your own business purposes and in line with these Terms.

6.3 You may not use an AI employee's face, voice, name or likeness outside the Service — for example in your own advertising, videos or products — without our written permission. Recordings or screenshots of your own sessions are fine for internal use, subject to section 5.7.

6.4 If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.

7. Acceptable use

7.1 You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. In short: nothing unlawful, harmful, deceptive or abusive; never use an AI employee to make anyone believe they are dealing with a human; never impersonate a real person; do not attack the Service or try to reach other customers' data.

7.2 Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer or decompile the Service except where the law expressly allows it; do not access it by automated means other than the interfaces we provide; and do not resell it or use it to build a competing product.

7.3 We may investigate suspected breaches and may remove content, limit features or suspend accounts as described in section 11.

8. Calls, voice and memory

8.1 Calls are not recorded. When you talk to an AI employee, your voice is streamed to our speech-recognition and call providers so that the conversation can happen in real time. We do not record or keep call audio or video.

8.2 Your microphone. The Service uses your microphone only when you start a call or a voice message, and only after your browser has asked for your permission.

8.3 Chat history and memory. We keep your chat conversations so that they are available to you across devices, for the period our Privacy Policy states, and you can delete them yourself. Separately, after a conversation the AI employee keeps short notes about you and your work so that it is useful next time — for example your name, how you like to work, and decisions you made. You can ask us to delete those notes at any time; our Privacy Policy explains how.

9. Third-party services

9.1 The Service relies on third-party providers for AI models, speech, video, hosting, sign-in, email and payments. They are listed on our Subprocessors page. Their outages or changes can affect the Service, and we may change providers.

9.2 If you use a third-party service through Vott — for example Google sign-in — that service's own terms also apply to your use of it.

10. Availability and changes to the Service

10.1 We work to keep the Service available and working, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, timely or free of errors. We make no uptime commitment unless we agree one with you in writing.

10.2 We may change the Service. If a change materially reduces what your paid plan gives you, we will tell you in advance, where practicable at least 30 days in advance, and you may cancel before it applies to you.

10.3 If we discontinue the Service altogether, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any fees you have prepaid for the period after it ends.

11. Suspension and termination

11.1 By you. You may stop using the Service at any time and cancel as section 4.8 describes. To close your account and have your data deleted, email privacy@vott.work from the address on your account.

11.2 By us. We may suspend or end your access to all or part of the Service if (a) you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy; (b) you do not pay; (c) we must do so to comply with the law or with an order of a competent authority; or (d) your use creates a real risk to the security of the Service, to other users or to us. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem; where the risk is immediate, we may act first and tell you promptly afterwards.

11.3 Inactive free accounts. We may close a free-plan account that has not been used for 12 months, after warning you by email at least 30 days before.

11.4 What happens at the end. When your account ends, your right to use the Service ends. We delete or anonymise your personal data and Your Content as our Privacy Policy describes, except what the law requires us to keep. Before deletion you may ask us for a copy of Your Content, and we will provide it in a commonly used format.

11.5 Sections 5.2, 5.5 to 5.7, 6, 12 to 14, 16 and 17 survive the end of these Terms.

12. Disclaimers

12.1 Except as expressly stated in these Terms, and to the fullest extent the law allows, the Service and all Output are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement and uninterrupted operation.

12.2 AI makes mistakes. Output may be inaccurate even when it sounds confident. Do not rely on Output as your only source of information for anything important.

12.3 Consumers: this section does not affect the rights that the law of the country where you live gives you, including any statutory guarantee that digital services match their description and are supplied with reasonable care and skill.

13. Limitation of liability

13.1 What we never exclude. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

13.2 Indirect loss. Subject to 13.1, neither you nor we are liable for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss, arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service.

13.3 Cap. Subject to 13.1, our total liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms and the Service, however it arises, is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) USD 100.

13.4 Consumers: sections 13.2 and 13.3 apply to you only to the extent the law of the country where you live allows. We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

14. Indemnity (business customers only)

If you use the Service for business purposes, you will defend and indemnify us against any third-party claim, and the resulting losses, costs and reasonable legal fees, to the extent it arises from your Input, from your use of Output in breach of these Terms, or from your breach of the Acceptable Use Policy or of the law. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you control its defence, and you will not settle it in a way that imposes an obligation on us without our consent. This section does not apply to consumers.

15. Changes to these Terms

15.1 We may change these Terms. We will publish the new version with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the Service at least 30 days before it takes effect.

15.2 Changes that the law requires, or that address security, may take effect sooner.

15.3 If you do not agree to a change, stop using the Service and cancel before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after the effective date, the changed Terms apply to you.

16. Governing law and disputes

16.1 Talk to us first. If you have a dispute with us, email legal@vott.work and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally before you start formal proceedings.

16.2 Governing law. These Terms, and any dispute or claim (including a non-contractual dispute or claim) arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, are governed by the law of England and Wales.

16.3 Forum. The courts of the Astana International Financial Centre in Astana, Kazakhstan (the "AIFC Court") have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim. Proceedings are conducted in English and may be held online.

16.4 Consumers. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

17. General

17.1 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the policies they refer to and any order you place with us, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If we sign a separate written agreement with you, it prevails where the two conflict. The Data Processing Addendum prevails on the processing of personal data.

17.2 Assignment. We may transfer these Terms to a company that takes over the Service or our business; we will tell you if we do. You may not transfer them without our written consent.

17.3 Events outside our control. We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including failures of the internet, of hosting, or of third-party AI and communications providers that we did not cause.

17.4 Notices. We may send you notices by email to the address on your account or in the Service. You may send us notices at legal@vott.work.

17.5 Severability and waiver. If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.

17.6 No third-party rights. No one other than you and us has any right to enforce these Terms.

17.7 Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version governs to the extent the law allows.
