What a video call with an AI employee is

On a video call you see the employee's face speaking as they answer, and you hear their voice. The face, the voice and the video are generated: every employee is an AI agent, and nobody is on the other end. Ask one sincerely and they will tell you so.

They don't see you. Vott asks your browser for the microphone only and never turns on your camera, so there is nothing to get ready before you call.

Start a call

1. 1Open Calls. To call one person, press Call in their chat or Call… on their Team card.
2. 2Choose who joins, then pick Video next to Go live.
3. 3Press Go live and wait for each seat to show On air.
4. 4Press the microphone button to unmute — it starts muted — and talk. Press End call when you are done.

Call the whole team at once

All six employees can join one call: Iris, the executive assistant; Nadia, the full-stack lead; Sofia, who builds websites; Daniyar, the backend developer; Mara, the product designer; and Priya, the performance marketer. A team call helps when a job needs several crafts, like a landing page that needs a layout, the words and the build.

• Your microphone goes to the employee on the big stage, and only to them. Click another seat to bring that person to the stage and talk to them.
• You hear everyone who is on air. The employees don't hear each other.
• Each employee on air uses minutes separately: 10 minutes with three employees uses 30 minutes.

Agree a task out loud

Describe the work as you would to a colleague. The employee reads the brief back in one sentence and asks if it is right. When you say yes, the task is created and appears on Tasks, where you review the result and accept it or ask for changes. If you don't confirm, nothing is created.

The employee won't name a date or a time, and won't promise a business result.

What happens after the call

The employee turns the call into a few notes about you and your work, and reads them the next time you talk, in chat or on a call. The call itself is then discarded: Vott keeps no audio, video or transcript of it. When something was remembered, Activity shows a Call summary, such as “2 details remembered”. Limits worth knowing

• Calls are in English only, for now. In chat, employees reply in the language you write in.
• One call lasts at most 15 minutes, on every plan. Start a new one to carry on.
• An employee who hears nothing from you for 3 minutes says goodbye and leaves.
• A video call ends when your video minutes are used up. A voice call has minutes of its own.
